Main Street Terminal stands on the south edge of downtown Fort Worth — a block of slip-formed concrete silos over a working rail siding, with the skyline in the windshield.
Covered hoppers come in on steel. Pneumatic trailers leave on rubber. In between is a single, simple operation: lift, store, load out.
Covered hoppers are spotted on the terminal's own sidings, right against the base of the elevator. Product is lifted and binned without ever seeing daylight — and the next cut of cars is already standing under the Main Street viaduct.
Under the shed at the base of the elevator, a tractor pulls onto the scale and the spout comes down. Product runs straight from the bin overhead into the trailer, with the rail cars it came in on standing on the next track over.
Loaded, ticketed, and out the gate to I-30 and I-35W.
